Yescapade 2002 Schedule
11:30 AM   Yescapade Opens - An Everopening Flower
Everyone stop at the registration desk to get your goodies.

11:30 AM
  Lunch
Once again, we will offer a lunch option. We will provide a variety of sandwiches, both with meat and vegetarian choices. Chips, fruit and other goodies will complete the light meal.

  Photo Display

Bring your photos! Suggested by the Lancaster and the Gately party, which is to set up a fan photo board display. It occurred to them that a lot of people may not have had cameras around, or that some who did have exceptional photos that they'd like to share. The way it would work is that anyone who would like to have their photos displayed can bring them to Yescapade, where we'll have a table or area dedicated to this. We'll put your name on a self-adhesive label, which would be attached to the back of the photos, and carefully put them up on a board (using Blu-tac). Lee (Yesman) and Alison shall be doing the honours. If you wish, we can place your name there too, letting folks see who took the photo. You may have an absolute cracker of a picture of the band, which you'd like other Yescapaders to see, in this case please feel free to bring it along! Plus, we'll leave out some stickers which you can use to identify yourself and photographees. Conversely, you may see yourself in a photograph and could approach the person who took it for a copy. It'll be a good opportunity to get to know fellow Yes fans as well. So if you'd like to participate, please bring a few of your favourite photos. We'll take good care of them, and ensure you have them passed safely back to you at the end of the event.

  Send a note to Yes

We have prepared several large "Greeting Cards" for you to sign and to send your own personal messages to the members of Yes. There will be ONE per band member, so we ask that you be very brief, just a few words (4-5 words - for example, "Yo, Steve, you da man" and "Come home with me, Chris" are both five words! <g> ) so that everyone can join in the fun. If you wish to extend longer messages, then please put them on a SINGLE sheet of paper and we will collect those and pass them on to the band as well (be sure to address them clearly).

  Kid Stuff

Yescapades are for kids of all ages! "Faces by Tiff" Tiffany Poe will be on hand to paint that Yes logo right on your forehead just like you've always wanted. We are also planning to put in a rest and indoor play area for you and your children.

We are not providing particular games or activities for the kids, so we request any help you wish to provide. Feel free to use the message board or to email us and we can add your idea to this page.

We want to take this opportunity to thank Eddie for his generous contribution of these items.

Tim Tussing Can Oc and Sarah Bronson Dakini and their colleagues have offered us a number of "13 Moon" calendars, an alternative based on the Mayan calendar. Based on the fact that the moon revolves around the earth 13 times in a year, this correlation of earth cycles with artificial human cycles is intended to bring increased harmony to society.

Jon Anderson said this: "Time is such a man-made problem. You know, just three thousand years ago we used to live in a thirteen-month cycle. We had twenty-eight days per month; very clean, clear, crisp; the menstrual cycle, the Mother Earth knowledge. And then the priests come along, and all the popes, and kings and queens, and they change it to twelve months in a year. Now, some months have thirty-one days, and some have thirty. We're out of balance in our lives because we don't know how many days are in the month! WHY DON'T WE JUST GO BACK TO A THIRTEEN-MONTH CYCLE LIKE IT USED TO BE IN THE GOLDEN DAYS?" (in "The Music Press" by David Kilpatrick Vol. 4, No. 6)

More information on the 13-Moon calendar can be found at http://www.tortuga.com

Here is an online version of the calendar:

Robert Fuller has offered a cool, tye-dyed tee shirt and some of his Universe University stickers for the some lucky Yes fans at Yescapade.

The high-definition shirts are hand-dyed, heavy weight cotton and are available in original aqua blue and NEW dark blue.

The sticker is clear and designed to go on the inside of a window. It features the Opio symbol and is 2.75" wide x 11" long

Note that a percentage of the sales of these items goes directly to the Opio Foundation.

Stuart Chambers has offered us several autographed copies of his new book "YES : An Endless Dream of 70s, 80s, and 90s Rock Music" as a great prize for those who are interested in the history of Yes and their music (and who here isn't?). Stuart breaks the history of the band into three distinct eras and discusses their importance in relationship to the music of the time and to the overall longevity of the band. Bookmarks and other items will also be available.

You can email the publisher for more information by going to publisher@gsph.com.

After hearing Tom Greisgraber play for us, we expect a lot of you will want to get his Agent 22 CDs. As part of Yescapade, Tom has offered two autographed Agent 22 CDs for you. Of course, you can read more about Tom at his bio page here, or at his home page.
Peter Banks was, as you all know, Yes' first guitar player. He is even credited with creating the name "Yes", as well as for setting the distinctive guitar style that sets Yes music apart from all others. This work by Peter Banks chronicles the early formative years of Yes, when they were still creating their style. Peter, through Golden Treasures Publishing, is offering a promo copy of the new book for one lucky Yescapader! They deserve a special thanks for getting these in with very short notice.

Yescapade Policies

We ask that you read and adhere to all policies carefully.

1 - Registration will start at around 11:30 AM. We ask that everyone try to arrive by 12:45 to reduce traffic during performances. We plan to close the registration desk at 1:00 PM so that our staff can enjoy the Yescapade also.

2 - The LAST DATE for Lunch orders is: July 10. After that, Event Only tickets will be available. If there is space available, tickets will be available at the door. We have a maximum capacity of about 400.

3 - Tickets will be mailed when they are printed, probably in June, but may take up to 2-4 weeks for delivery. Orders placed after July 10 will be available at the Yescapade event registration desk. Don't worry, we will have a list of everyone who ordered tickets at the registration desk.

4 - Yescapade event tickets do not constitute concert admission. Concert tickets are available online at tickets.com, and through the Konocti Harbor Box Office at (707)279-4281 or Toll Free - (800)660-LAKE

5 - All sales are final, Yescapade will be held rain or shine. Sorry, but no refunds can be accepted.

6 - Note that activities and/or Yes appearances have *not* been finalized as of this time. We have invited Yes and hope they can attend, but have no guarantees at this time. Final decisions may be delayed until the day of the event.

7 - Parents are responsible for their childrens' behavior. Please respect everyone by not allowing disturbances.

8 - Anyone damaging artwork or equipment will be held responsible for repair and/or replacement costs. Please be careful.

9 - Recording/camera policy: Hand held cameras, including hand held videocameras will be allowed in the Yescapade for personal use only. No use of stands, tripods or other devices that could interfere with or otherwise affect anyone else's Yescapade experience will be allowed. Similarly, audio recordings may be made from hand-held recorders, for personal use only.

Due to the nature of the event, there may be restrictions on audio and video equipment in certain areas and at certain times.

NOTE: No audio, photographic or video recording of the Yescapade may be reproduced or distributed for profit or otherwise sold in any way without the express written consent of Bob or Cherokee and any of the other artists involved. Trading of photos and hand-held camera recording are permitted, as long as no profit/money is involved. We hope to produce a video this year, and you may see video and audio equipment at the event. This will be the only officially sanctioned recordings made of this event.

10 - Alcohol will be served on the premises. Underage drinking will not be allowed. We ask that you drink responsibly and not drink and drive. We strongly encourage ride sharing and ask that you use our message board to set up rides.

11 - Note that the weather in Kelseyville and Konocti Harbor in July is hot and dry. Temperatures range above 100F frequently. Even though the area is shaded, for your safety, we recommended bringing your sunscreen, wearing light clothing and drinking plenty of water.

We may occasionally update these policies, as events evolve.
